General Info

Tucked away in the charming village of Maison Gramme, this restaurant feels like one of those places you’re lucky to stumble upon while exploring southern France. The location itself sets the tone-quiet, picturesque, and perfect for slowing down and enjoying a proper meal.

From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere leans effortlessly romantic. Whether you’re planning a relaxed dinner or just a spontaneous stop, the setting works beautifully. The outdoor seating around the square adds to the charm, making it easy to settle in and soak up the surroundings while browsing the menu.

Speaking of the menu, it’s thoughtfully curated without being overwhelming. One standout that deserves attention is the Salade Caesar. It’s not just a standard version-it’s fresh, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. The ingredients come together in a way that feels both satisfying and light, making it a great choice whether you’re stopping by for lunch or starting a longer dinner.

Another thing that stands out at Maison Gramme is the drink selection. If you appreciate a good pairing, you’ll enjoy their great wine list, which complements the dishes nicely. On top of that, the beer selection is surprisingly strong, offering options that go beyond the usual expectations for a small village restaurant. It’s the kind of place where you can easily spend time exploring different flavors.

Service here also adds to the overall experience. The team keeps things relaxed but attentive, making it easy to feel comfortable without any pressure. If you’re short on time, takeout is available, which is a nice bonus-especially if you want to enjoy your meal somewhere scenic nearby.

And then there’s dessert. It’s worth saving room. The sweet options round out the experience in a way that feels complete, especially after a well-paced meal.

Looking at reviews and overall impressions, Maison Gramme consistently delivers a balanced dining experience-good food, a welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful service. It’s not trying too hard, and that’s exactly why it works. Whether you’re visiting Lussan for the first time or returning to explore more, this restaurant easily becomes a memorable stop along the way.

What customers say?

“ We found this lovely gem by accident and are so glad we did! The food was elegant and delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed, and every song that played in the background was as if it was perfectly selected to enhance the vibe. The service was also so fast, which I was not expecting but was pleased with as we were hungry! And our servers explained everything, where the food and wine came from and how it was locally and organically sourced. The price was also right for such high quality food and such a beautiful experience. ”

“ A party of 7 people, looking for a place to eat on the 15th of August, in a touristic location without reservation, was on the paper, a recipe for failure and disappointment. On the contrary, our lunch at Chez Rosette was one of the best moments of our weekly family vacation in the region. Not only did our host accept to set up the table again right before kitchen closing time, but once seated, we had the best experience. The terrace is quiet on a peaceful square, the menu while offering a limited choice - composed with local products - was very appealing and creative. We tasted all three starters, from light and creamy vitello tonato made with filet mignon, to delicious fresh, juicy and tasty tomatoes, paired with exquisite dressing and local cheese, to a subtle, rich and refreshing melon gaspacho. As the main course, the fish & ship dish was a total blast with crispy "double-cooked" chips, perfect fish tempura. The chicken was tender and well assembled with a collection of vegetables, cereal, and nuts, which created a delicious taste. The portions are generous and nicely served in vintage tableware. We only tried one desert after such a gorgeous meal, a peach and prune crumble paired with a scoop of yogurt ice cream, which was heaven. The rest of our group tasted one scoop of ice cream, all delicious (coffee, salty buttery caramel, and yogurt). The coffee is aligned with the rest of the food, tasty, delicious, and selected with rigorous attention, served in lovely vintage cups. The waiter was very nice despite the rush hours and fully booked terrace. Our host was also very nice, smiling, and giving us the perfect wine recommendations to pair our meal, a delicious natural rosé wine, Pink my Ride. What a fantastic, memorable experience... We could not have dreamed of a better place to eat. Thank you . Do not change a single thing of your magic hosting recipe, and keep delighting visitors. ”

“ We had lunch at the restaurant. The salad was really good, fresh ingredients and full of taste. The chocolade lava cake was amazing, delicious. Also the wine was beautiful and tasteful. The new owner (since 3 months) is welcoming you and is really friendly. She speaks several languages, so also good for tourists. But we sat between locals. The atmosphere is cosy and authentic. We enjoyed our lunch and will definitely come back when we are in the region. ”

“ New owners and very recent opening. Friendly and attentive service. Portions quite small, but decent. Interesting wines by the glass, local and international. And a wonderful terrace. Please make the terrace non smoking and I come here every week :-) ”

“ We had supper at L'Auberge and it was delicious. They do a three course meal that is reasonably priced with nice choices for each course. We feel we finally got a better idea of what French cooking is about - more subtlety and complexity in the flavours. The staff were so friendly with my rough French and patient. We really tried our best (instead of relying on everyone to speak English) and it's nice to be encouraged along. Don't forget to go for a walk after supper - the stars are amazing from Lussan. ”
