And our servers explained everything, where the food and wine came from and how it was locally and organically sourced. The price was also right for such high quality food and such a beautiful experience. ”

“ A party of 7 people, looking for a place to eat on the 15th of August, in a touristic location without reservation, was on the paper, a recipe for failure and disappointment. On the contrary, our lunch at Chez Rosette was one of the best moments of our weekly family vacation in the region. Not only did our host accept to set up the table again right before kitchen closing time, but once seated, we had the best experience. The terrace is quiet on a peaceful square, the menu while offering a limited choice - composed with local products - was very appealing and creative. We tasted all three starters, from light and creamy vitello tonato made with filet mignon, to delicious fresh, juicy and tasty tomatoes, paired with exquisite dressing and local cheese, to a subtle, rich and refreshing melon gaspacho. As the main course, the fish & ship dish was a total blast with crispy "double-cooked" chips, perfect fish tempura. The chicken was tender and well assembled with a collection of vegetables, cereal, and nuts, which created a delicious taste. The portions are generous and nicely served in vintage tableware. We only tried one desert after such a gorgeous meal, a peach and prune crumble paired with a scoop of yogurt ice cream, which was heaven. The rest of our group tasted one scoop of ice cream, all delicious (coffee, salty buttery caramel, and yogurt). The coffee is aligned with the rest of the food, tasty, delicious, and selected with rigorous attention, served in lovely vintage cups. The waiter was very nice despite the rush hours and fully booked terrace. Our host was also very nice, smiling, and giving us the perfect wine recommendations to pair our meal, a delicious natural rosé wine, Pink my Ride. What a fantastic, memorable experience... We could not have dreamed of a better place to eat. Thank you . Do not change a single thing of your magic hosting recipe, and keep delighting visitors. ”

“ We were doing a bicycle trip in the Lussan area and we were hungry when we arrived to the restaurant.The lunch time was almost over, but so friendly Rosette promised to make us some special food. The portion were so good, fresh and tasteful. The place was beautiful, clean and cosy. Highly recommened ”

The new owner (since 3 months) is welcoming you and is really friendly. She speaks several languages, so also good for tourists. But we sat between locals. The atmosphere is cosy and authentic. We enjoyed our lunch and will definitely come back when we are in the region. ”

“ We had supper at L'Auberge and it was delicious. They do a three course meal that is reasonably priced with nice choices for each course. We feel we finally got a better idea of what French cooking is about - more subtlety and complexity in the flavours. The staff were so friendly with my rough French and patient. We really tried our best (instead of relying on everyone to speak English) and it's nice to be encouraged along. Don't forget to go for a walk after supper - the stars are amazing from Lussan. ”
